Yo soy Frank Sloane.
(also, this is the actual cover.)
The Eden Book Society is an ongoing prank from Dead Ink Books in the UK where a fictitious publisher’s line from a past year gets “re-discovered” and republished. In reality, all the books are written by modern authors under a pseudonym. This year, those authors include John Darnielle, Chikodili Emelumadu, Alison Rumfitt…and me!
I’m participating in this year’s 1993 Line with my novella THE REDNEXORCIST!
ON SALE JULY 7th!

Soul saver! Demon buster! The X-Treme X-orcist! They called Father Glenn a lot of names but he didn’t care because his business was destroying the Prince of Darkness wherever he could be found — from the mountains of Appalachia to the corn fields of West Tennessee. But then they locked him up and threw away the key for punching ghosts. Now he’s out of the slammer and ready to teach God’s enemies all about the power of forgiveness...THERE IS NONE!
The Power of Christ Compels You...TO DIE!
FRANK SLOANE is a professional writer, private investigator, and semi-professional concert pianist with degrees in organic chemistry, archeology, classical philosophy, and with a license to practice law in Indonesia. He dedicates his writing to all his former brothers in the Marine Corps, both those living and those who have already entered Valhalla. He fights the good fight in Kansas City, MO.
THE WHY, HOW, AND WHY?
The Rednexorcist is a 195-page novella (longer than Badasstronauts!) and it’s coming out from a small UK press. Right now, hard copies are only available outside the UK via international shipping, which costs as much as the book. However, on July 7th a Buy button for the ebook will appear at the above link and anyone can get the ebook anywhere on earth. I’m also working on getting an audiobook ready, and I’m trying to find US distribution.
My next book comes out in Summer, 2027 so I thought it would be fun to get something out sooner, and to write a horror story that could have been published in 1993 — a two-fisted pulp tale full of ghosts, ghouls, and people beating the crap out of them. Think 1990's Nightblood or 1991's Nightlife. For those of you read who How To Sell a Haunted House, this was probably Mark’s favorite book when he was a teenager.
I know this is less convenient for my North American readers, but sometimes you do stuff because it's fun and you want to support smaller presses, and I promise I'm doing my best to make it easier for y'all.
